I am in love with this picture shot by Mario Testino, mostly because at the moment with all this yoga I am heavily influenced by all things India. And so, the saturation of colour, the mandalas on the silk pants and the huge pom-pom accessory around Daria Werbowy’s neck is all saying Yes! to me. Styled by the very talented Lucinda Chambers for Vogue UK January 2005. Click through the image for more from this editorial entitled “The Road to Marrakech”.
We practiced Shirsasana yesterday at yoga teacher training, better known as headstand pose. It was fun because I’ve been practicing this at home a lot lately, I’ve been enjoying the different perspective that being upside down gives me. It’s not often we get to be upside down as grownups, maybe on a roller coaster or swimming, but when else would we get the chance? It’s an invigorating yet calming pose. As Yogananda said, “be calmly active and actively calm.”
Have a wonderful weekend.

I need something bright to cheer me up today and this gorgeous Alexander McQueen frock worn by Daria Werbowy is just the ticket. This image is from an editorial called Trail Blazers which was shot for Vogue UK by Mario Testino in the Andes in 2008.
Have a wonderful weekend, wherever you are 🙂

This stunning Oscar de la Renta embroidered tulle frock is oh-so-very-flamenco. Model Daria Werbowy was photographed by Mario Testino for Vogue Spain, 2006.

I love long and flowing frocks like this Tommy Hilfiger one Daria Werbowy is wearing in the kitchen of her New York loft. This image is from a shoot by photographer Cass Bird for the Spring/Summer 2010 issue of Dossier magazine.
How’s your week been? This time last week we were being inundated with rain and wind from a tropical cyclone. This week we are simply recovering from said effects. I feel blessed that we escaped virtually unscathed when so many of my friends were without power for almost a week and of course there are hundreds of families reeling from the devastation caused by flooding, some of which are still waiting for their homes to reappear from under the murky waters. It’s all so random. Nature doesn’t play favourites.
love & light! xx
Beautiful Daria Werbowy in Valentino hand-beaded tulle frock, worn with Prada socks and shoes. This ethereally inspired editorial “Earth Angel” from W Magazine was photographed by Ryan McGinley and styled by Edward Enninful.
Have a great weekend!

Daria Werbowy wearing Nina Ricci from the Spring/Summer 2004 ad campaign. Photographed by none other than Patrick Demarchelier, this shot doesn’t look posed, it looks as if Patrick has stolen a moment, don’t you think? Daria is definitely one of my favourite models, she’s very good at what she does and even just sitting about in this pretty little lemon and lace number, she’s perfection. She has fabulous hair too, by the way.
Today was going great, all very normal until late this afternoon en route home from picking up Miss Annabel from her ballet class I get a call from hubby telling me he was en route to Emergency with Miss Chloè because she had been bitten by a dog on the thigh! My poor baby, we were all freaking out, but thank fully she is going to be just fine. She was very concerned about why a dog would want to bite her though. Can’t say I blame her really. Why would anybody keep a dog that wasn’t trust worthy? Our Labrador Jet is the most placid, sweet-natured dog in the universe. No wonder Chloè didn’t see it coming, how could she when to her, all the dogs she knows are happy souls like her Jet?
Enjoy your weekend peeps. xx

The ultimate maxi dress, yes? Definitely the prettiest of Friday’s frocks so far too.
I am super excited about this weekend because today I am driving down to the twinkly lights of Brisbane for a weekend with my gorgeous friend Amanda. I am so looking forward to the break!
Have a great weekend.
