Scenes from the front row…

Mulberry: Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery, Michelle Williams and Elizabeth Olsen

I finally got to see My Week with Marilyn today and I was not disappointed. In the words of my BFF Kirsty, “Michelle Williams nailed it!” and for my money, so did Kenneth Branagh – I’ve always loved him. He was just so wonderful, the very likeness of Laurence Olivier as “the Prince”. Judi Dench was perfection, her character was so delightful, as was Julia Ormond as Vivien Leigh and I almost didn’t recognise Zoe Wanamker as Paula Strasberg. A triumph if ever there was, the best film I’ve seen in a while, right up there with Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy for its beautiful cinematography, costume design and art direction. The casting was pretty spot-on too!

  1. I kid you not, when I scrolled by this post I thought you had PhotoShopped yourself into the front row as a bit of humor. In other words — you look like Michelle Williams!
